Remote Sensing - Earth Observation with a twist
THEME
When most of us think about Remote Sensing, we immediately jump to visions of satellites and imagery, and while this has helped shape our industry, the “scene” has changed in this modern era to include remote sensing technology that is ubiquitously embedded, wearable, accessible, and more. Where would we be without traffic updates on our phone, the ability to live stream natural disaster updates to first responders, and so forth? Let your thoughts wander and then submit a proposal for a paper for the upcoming meeting – give consideration to privacy, security, some discussion around the importance of accuracy versus immediacy. In addition, a special call goes out to our student members. At APSG 39 we will have an opportunity for you to put on display your recent school projects whether that be in the form of a poster, app, map, paper, or presentation. Bring your best to show-off amongst some of the industry experts in Geodetics, Geomatics, GIS, and Survey. There will be prizes to the top 3 projects! Please send topics to chair@apsg.info by Friday, April 20, 2018.
