The topic for our Spring Meeting is "Positioning: Precisely Wrong?"
You may ask, “What does this mean – precisely wrong?” We all too often trust our positions when they “look” alright, all the parts are there…or are they, and how do you know that you can trust your information, especially if it came from somewhere else? How do you know it was created and stored with the proper parameters and of course, the ever present doubt, “Was it loaded correctly?”

- Status report on the various GNSS programs (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Compass, QNSS, et al)
- Concerns for current Solar Cycle 24 on GPS ( and possible mitigation using GLONASS, et al.)
- Concerns over recent US FCC approvals process to 4G supplier LightSquared
- What happens to “precise geodetic networks” in the wake of massive earth movements such as recent Japan earthquake, earlier Indonesia and Alaska earthquakes, etc.
